Kinvarra - Galway

Description

Kinvara is a port village located in South West Galway, it is surrounded by The Burren’s famous landscape. Kinvara has so much to offer. You can stop into Hazel Mountain Chocolate, grab a bite to eat at Keogh’s or explore Irelands’ most photographed castle, Dunguaire Castle, just outside the village. Continuing on from Kinvara the next village is Ballinderreen on the N67 between Kinvara and Kilcolgan. This is a pretty village with a restaurant and a convenience store. The next village is Kilcolgan a quaint village and home to Kelly Oysters which produces some of the best Oysters in the world! Then onto the picturesque village of Clarinbridge, which is on the mouth of the Clarin River at the end of Dunbulcaun Bay, which is the easternmost part of Galway Bay. There are lots of amenities, shops and restaurants here. Before arriving in Galway City, you will pass through Oranmore which is just 10 minutes outside of the city. This beautiful village is the perfect location for an afternoon adventure. It’s a peaceful village but you won’t be short of things to do! Historic buildings, stunning scenery , incredible food in award-winning restaurants and plenty of Ceol and Craic at the local pubs Porterhouse or The Olde Brewery.

  • Rinville Park is nestled in a gently undulating landscape on the shore of Galway Bay, south of Galway City and Oranmore Town.

Beaches: 1
  • Located in the sheltered Galway Bay, this gently sloping sandy beach is an ideal spot for families. There is a lifeguard service during the summer months which means Traught beach is particularly safe for bathing.
